The October speaker at the CSDA meeting was Bob Sheff, M.D., a retired clinician who has been working with individual patients to overcome the barriers they encounter in obtaining the health care they need. Dr. Sheff has taken those experiences and published a book, The Medical Mentor, to teach patients how to become their own patient advocates. He has made frequent television appearances as well as speaking to a wide variety of audiences across the country on this topic.

Miles of Smiles

CSDA's January speaker was Dr. Sammy Noumbissi, DDS. Larry reported that he gave "one of the most enlightening talks I have ever heard about rational, non-toxic dentistry." Dr. Noumbissi studied at Montreal University, Howard University School of Dentistry, and did post graduate work at Loma Linda University, and earned a Masters of Science in Implant Surgery.
